Ultimately, we're gathering to celebrate love and community—your presence is what truly matters!
Anna and Jeremy first met at their church's young adults group in 2021. Though they crossed paths on several memorable occasions while sharing the same friend circle, they hadn't yet developed a close connection. Jeremy remembers Anna bringing a machete into his house to crack open coconuts at a Monty Python and the Holy Grail watch party.
Their love story was set in motion on November 22, 2024, when Jeremy asked Anna out while they were both living together in a co-ed Christian community house near the University of Minnesota. What Jeremy didn't know was that Anna had harbored a "weird crush" on him for over a year before he made his move!
As their relationship blossomed, they discovered a profound compatibility through their shared interests: a love of learning, a mutual desire to pursue meaning and adventure, and their deep devotion to Jesus. "We both felt a strong sense of being the best teammate that we could ever ask for," they reflected.
As time went on, the foundation of their relationship grew stronger, prompting them to reimagine their individual futures as a shared journey together. Having found in each other their ideal partner, they started to see life through a new lens of possibility and partnership.
Until one day, Anna and Jeremy found themselves an ocean apart. Just months after that first date, Anna expressed her hope to return to Youth With A Mission in Kona, Hawai'i. From the moment she mentioned it, Jeremy encouraged her to pursue this calling, even knowing it meant spending spring apart. When April came, their goodbye at the airport was bittersweet—a temporary farewell that would test their young relationship but ultimately reveal its true strength.
The time apart helped them both recognize the depth of their connection and what they truly meant to each other. As they looked toward the future, they found themselves naturally planning for a life where they could continue growing together in faith and partnership.
We're creating a warm, inclusive celebration that reflects our values of simplicity and authentic connection.
We will build our marriage on Jesus's model of humble service and Paul's guidance on mutual submission—biblical principles we invite you to reflect on with us. (Matthew 20:26, Ephesians 5:21)
